Frederick X is the new king of Denmark, following the announcement of the abdication of the throne of his mother Margrethe II. As a result, Frederick X becomes head of state, supreme authority of the Church of the Danish people, and commander-in-chief of the Danish Armed Forces, as of January 14, 2024.
